Visiting Kurt's Family

A couple of weekends ago we drove the 12.5 hr drive to visit Kurt's family. He decided to used some last minute vacation time, and most of the family hadn't met Ellie yet! Kurt sure was excited to get out of the heat! We left as soon as he got home from work and drove all through the night. The one advantage of driving through the night was that Ellie slept most of the time! We sure had a great time spending the few days with the family! We had tons of great food, and, of course, great company!

The first night we were there, in the middle of conversation Krispy Kreme came up. Derrick couldn't believe I had never had it hot and fresh, so we drove by to see if their sign was lit up. Sure enough it was! We just HAD to grab the free little hats and get a pic with Ellie!

 The kids loved Ellie and had so much fun playing with her. It was so cute seeing Emery try to play with and take care of Ellie.

While we were there we went to Cinzetti's as a family. It's always been one of Kurt's favorite places. It's an Italian Buffet, and we hit Brunch, so there were fresh crepes & many other things.

Emery wanted to hold L, so Aaron "helped" just a little....

 While we were there we went around to a few different furniture stores to help Derrick look and get ideas for his new apartment. They had this cute little strollers to push babies around in. Kurt's mom was a trooper and pushed grouchy Ellie around. While we were there she didn't get too many naps & was teething (no teeth yet).

It was the funniest thing. I had attached L's toys to the front to help keep her busy. We looked away for a little bit and I looked back to see she had propped her feet up in the bar. She sure knows how to ride in style and kick back and relax!

 Shortly before we came to visit Trenton learned how to give kisses. He makes the cutest little pucker with his lips before he plants on on ya. Although he loved doing it all the time, of course when I wanted to take a picture he wouldn't do it. Finally he did, but I was in such a rush to catch it it came out blurry. He's still so cute though.

Emery loved taking picture with the camera. We had tons of cute little faces, but here are some of my faves. 

She also loved chasing a ball down the stairs, and she'd scoot down on her behind so fast, you would think she was on a slide. It was so cute!

We had so much fun visiting everyone, and, of course we wish our trip had been longer! Here are just a few of the highlights!
